Top 5 Automatic Cars Under Rs 7 Lakh: Automatic transmission is no longer a feature only available in premium segment cars.

In recent years, companies like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Tata have started offering automatic transmission option in their budget cars.

If you are looking to buy an automatic car but don’t want to spend the big bucks, here are some options that you can bring home in a budget of Rs 7 lakh.

Tata Tiago

Automatic transmission option is available in Tata Tiago only with the 1.2-litre petrol engine.

It is mated to a 5 speed AMT gearbox.

The AMT lineup of Tiago has 3 variants, which are priced between Rs 6.25 to Rs 7.05 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis

In the budget of Rs 7 lakh, the option of automatic transmission is available in two variants of Ignis, Delta AMT and Zeta AMT.

The car comes with a mileage of 20.89 kpl, which makes it the most fuel efficient car in the segment.

This Maruti car gets features like LED projector headlamps, daytime running lamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and automatic climate control.

Hyundai Santro

The only automatic variant of Hyundai’s long-running Santro is available with an ex-showroom price of Rs.

The Santro Sportz AMT uses a 1.1-litre four-cylinder petrol unit, which is mated to a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios

An optional automatic gearbox is available with the Magna variant of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios for Rs 6.69 lakh (ex-showroom).

The 1.2 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine has been used in this car, which outputs 83 PS and 114 Nm of peak torque.

The car gets safety features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors.

The manual transmission model of the Magna variant of the Grand i10 Nios is available for Rs.6 lakh.


Suzuki WagonR

One of the most successful hatchbacks in India, the Maruti Suzuki WagonR is also offered with an optional 5 speed AMT gearbox.

The automatic variant of the car is available in both the 1.0-litre K12B engine and the 1.2-litre K12M engine.

In the budget of Rs 7 lakh, you can get VXI AT and ZXI AT variants of the car.

The WagorR AMT gets hill hold assist, dual front bags and ABS with EBD as safety features.
